Why Guru Purnima is Celebrated?

Guru Purnima is a beautiful day to memorize our gurus who guided us and supported us to achieve what we desire in our life. The term ” Guru ” has an ironic meaning because the ” Gu ” means darkness and ” Ru ” means the eradication of darkness.

Combined together, the word reflects its true meaning and signifies Guru the one who illuminates our mind and eliminates all the darkness from our daily lives.

This day is celebrated largely by Hindus, Jains, and Buddhists all over India on a Full moon day of Shaka Samvat according to the Hindu Calendar.

On this auspicious day, students worship and thank their teachers for illuminating their lives with their valuables teachings and thoughts.

This Grand day will be celebrated on July 5, 2020!
